Example: Timestamp Range Merge

Use this operation to merge two datasets, typically one dataset of batch information, and one time series dataset. This results in an operation useful for investigating when time series data was used in the creation of a timeless article, such as a batch product, or a discrete product.

A new dataset will be created, returning only values from the data samples dataset where the timestamps fall within the timestamp range defined from the batch definitions dataset. Only values of the selected fields will be displayed in the merged dataset.

Batch definitions dataset: (batch data)

Data samples dataset: (time series data)

Configuration:

Batch definitions dataset: Batch data

Batch start timestamp: StartTime

Batch end timestamp: EndTime

Data samples dataset: Time series data

Timestamp: Date

Selected fields for batch definitions dataset: BatchID, BatchName

Selected fields for data samples dataset: Pressure_Probe, Temperature_Probe

Resulting dataset:

Note that only values with a timestamp that falls within the defined range timestamps will be displayed. These values shown are only of the selected fields from each of the datasets.
